The History of Comic City Co.
Brian Comisar '21
The Adventures of Eggman No.1 is a second-grade comic strip made by Comic City Co's two founding members: its creator, Brian Comisar, and co-leader, Zach McClimon. Though Eggman was one of their biggest successes, it was only their second official comic. They used to do random comics; but Brian Comisar recruited Zach McClimon, came up with their first official comic - the Robber Ducky, a rubber duck that had a gang, robbed banks, had a sonic quack, and would eventually become one of Eggman's first enemies - along with one of the most notorious villains of them all (including their third comic, The Mexican Peanut, who would eventually turn evil). Super Sleuth, their fifth hit, following The Pickle Army (their first official comic that was never a hit) is featured in Eggman's first recreated comic, but as a retired superhero, next to their first non-hit super hero, Electric Man. The Mexican Peanut was pitched by creator Brian Comisar after co-creator Zachary McClimon pitched the Mexican Ballerina. No.7 was a bump in the road; Stick Comix was their first substitute for a loss of ideas, being sloppy, random, and not well thought-out. Then followed their first story series, the Strange Series, which featured Ed and "Hi" (Hillbillybob) at a strange school with Calvin, Mr. Magnet, Dr. Magnet, and the Preschooler. Though random, it had a very well thought-out and connected storyline. Their next big hit occurred when the creators were separated in fourth grade, with creator Brian being in Mrs. Gundlach's class - where he met their first employee (and one of the best), Peter Minneci, and started 'Random Comix' back up again.
In 5th grade, Brian moved to another school, Columbus Academy, where he made the first comic book for Eggman; he then recruited many people, including Grant Edwards, who is currently co-writing Eggman No.2. There is also a new book coming out soon, entitled SCRAP'S BIG ADVENTURE WITH OTHER SHORT STORIES, written and illustrated by Brian Comisar and co-author, Marcus Stewart.
There will be more history soon, but now you're up to date!
